1927 -- AGS Archives

   Charles Lindbergh becomes the first pilot to fly the Atlantic solo from Long Island, New York, to Paris, landing on May 21, 1927.
  On August 7, 1927, the Peace Bridge between the U.S. & Canada was dedicated during ceremonies attended by the Prince of Wales and Vice President Charles Dawes.
