AGS Council Fellowship 2015

The Councilors of the American Geographical Society announce the annual AGS fellowship to support graduate research in geography for 2015. The Fellowship is open to all student members of the American Geographical Society. At least one $1,000 Fellowship will be given each year. 

Applications for the award must be received in the AGS office by November 1, 2014. Digital submissions are preferred. To be considered an applicant must be a current member of the American Geographical Society and a graduate student. Please submit a curriculum vitae and a cover letter of no more than three pages that describes (a) the proposed research (b) the reasons for doing the research, and (c) the candidate's particular competence in this area. Proposals with a field component are desirable but not required. Upon completion of the research, fellowship recipinets are strongly encouraged to submit an article based upon their research to one of the AGS peer-reviewed publications. The AGS Council Fellowship recipient will be announced in no later than March 2015.
